Thursday 30 May: Jellie Park
We are learning about Water Safety today.
We are listening to the swimming teachers. They are showing us how to put on our life jackets.
We are getting ready to jump into the pool.
Our life jackets will help us float in the deep water.
1.....2.....3.....GO!!!!
We are all being REALLY brave!
We are getting into the boat with our life jackets on.
Made it!!! (after the big jump off the side) Phew!
Look ......NO HANDS !!!
Cheeky wee Emma.
Isaiah is loving doing doggie paddle with his life jacket on.
We need to help our friends stay really brave, we are huddling together.
Off on our boat trip.
Brave Emma is swimming to the side after her BIG jump.
The sea is rough today........
......... getting worse!!
Are you smiling Charlie ? I think you are!!
We are getting into a huddle so that we can stick together.
We are yelling out "HELP"!
We are falling backwards off the boat.
We are being so BRAVE!
The Teachers are helping us.
Look at those happy 'water confident' children !
More rough seas........
..... are they more smiles?
We are swimming on our backs to the edge of the pool where it is safe.
Whose legs are those?
Safe at last!
Tahi and Toru, you had a great time learning all about water safety today. You didn't get to wear your goggles, and some of you were a little unsure about that.
Well done for giving it a go.
We are very proud of you.
