Water Safety

 Thursday 30 May: Jellie Park

  We are learning about Water Safety today.

 We are listening to the swimming teachers. They are showing us how to put on our life jackets.

 We are getting ready to jump into the pool. 

Our life jackets will help us float in the deep water.

 1.....2.....3.....GO!!!!

 We are all being REALLY brave!

 We are getting into the boat with our life jackets on.

 Made it!!! (after the big jump off the side) Phew!

 Look ......NO HANDS !!!

Tahi and Toru, you had a great time learning all about water safety today. You didn't get to wear your goggles,and some of you were a little unsure about that. 

Well done for giving it a go. 

We are very proud of you.

We have been working hard in the pool have a look at these great swimmers.....

Look at those smiles, the pool is lovely and warm.

Some awesome people have been using kick boards.

 Some clever people have been floating like star fish.

Here is Toru class ready to go on the bus. Every day we pretend we are off to the beach in Australia !

We are lining up ready for our lessons. 

We are learning a lot in the pool, just about one week down, one more to go. Watch this space!

Toru Painting on the Tables?

Don't tell Mr Hogan but we had so much fun painting faces straight onto our table tops today!  

After painting the table, we placed a piece of paper lightly on top 

Look at our fantastic face prints!  Clever aye?

Rua Painting Up a Storm!

Rua had fun with paint this afternoon.  Self portraits were created, first with pencil and then with paint. With a few finishing touches to be made next week, make sure you come and see the final masterpieces on display.
